Service Elm Field Co., Ltd. is the registered business name under which we operate. The practice was established in 2019 in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, to address a gap we observed among expatriate families stationed near Camp Humphreys and across the greater Seoul corridor: households held substantial reserves in physical cash and paper records, yet lacked a written continuity plan for when postings changed, currencies shifted, or emergencies demanded rapid departure.
Our Origin
The founding advisors came from backgrounds in household financial administration, cross-border relocation support, and community liaison work with international school families. We noticed that bank apps and online dashboards told only part of the story. The rest lived in labelled envelopes, denomination notebooks, and the memory of whichever spouse had last counted the reserve. When that spouse travelled or the family relocated, the knowledge travelled with them — or vanished.
We began offering structured playbook sessions in 2019, first to military-affiliated families and later to corporate assignees, teachers, and diplomatic households across Korea.
What We Believe
Reserve continuity is household craft, not speculation. Our work centres on documenting what you hold, where it lives, who may access it, and what sequence of actions preserves your household’s obligations when circumstances change overnight.
We do not sell investment products, manage portfolios, or provide trading guidance. We prepare written playbooks, conduct offline wallet audits, and map household cash positions so that your family can act with clarity.
Our Team
Yoon Seo-jin leads playbook development and has prepared continuity documents for over eighty expatriate households since 2019. Her background includes five years of relocation coordination for international school communities in Pyeongtaek.
Marcus Ellery conducts offline wallet audits and denomination logging. He previously managed treasury operations for a regional logistics firm and holds a certificate in cross-border household finance from the Korea Expatriate Services Association.
Hana Whitfield handles client intake and session scheduling. She maintains correspondence in English and Korean and coordinates on-site visits across Gyeonggi and Seoul.
Working With Us
Sessions take place at our Pyeongtaek office or at your residence within the greater Seoul area. We ask households to gather existing envelope systems, denomination records, and any written notes about reserve purposes before the first meeting. Most playbook engagements conclude within two sessions and a written delivery.
We serve expatriate households regardless of nationality or employer affiliation. Our clients include military families, corporate assignees, international educators, and diplomatic staff.
